Refund policy

If you have a product in need of return or exchange, please contact Ugly Duckling Nails for authorization within 7 days of receiving your order. With the exception of a faulty or damaged item, you will be responsible for shipping charges on returns.

STOP ORDERS
If you decide to stop your order after it has been shipped, you will be responsible for applicable shipping costs, and/or payment charges.

RETURNS
Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. With the exception of a faulty or damaged item, you will be responsible for shipping charges on all returns, and there will be a 15% restocking fee. We will provide you a store credit for the balance.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be returned for store credit, unfortunately sale items cannot be returned and are FINAL SALE.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at contact@uglyducklingnails.com and send your item to: 4382 Westshore Parkway, Unit #115 Victoria, BC. Canada V9B 5Z1

Shipping
To return your product, you should mail your product to: 4382 Westshore Parkway, Unit #115 Victoria, BC. Canada V9B 5Z1

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a store credit, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your final store credit amount.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a traceable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

1-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY TERMS:
Ugly Duckling 1-year limited warranty applies to all Ugly Duckling electronic products: E-file (complete unit), E-file (handpiece only), Dust Collector, Rechargeable LED Lamp,  Lunula Lamp, Mini LED Lamp, Gooseneck Lamp. Ugly Duckling Nails Inc. does not assume warranty obligations and does not provide replacement for the product in the following cases:

  • Evidence of unauthorized repairs, third-party interference, attempted self-repair, repairs on individual components, or if the warranty seal is missing.
  • Damages associated with drops, foreign objects entering the device, damage from liquids, gels, and other nail products, or defects due to transportation.
  • Damages resulting from natural disasters (rain, wind, lightning, etc.), fires, internal factors (high humidity, dust, aggressive environment, etc.).
  • Device failure due to power supply parameters not meeting the requirements.
  • Failure to follow recommendations for device maintenance (regular professional handpiece servicing/cleaning, proper cleaning procedures, proper storage, etc.)
  • If the product is resold, the warranty is no longer valid.

Ugly Duckling's 1-year limited warranty for factory defects lasts for 1 year from the original date of purchase, and covers manufacturer defects exclusively. Any damages incurred due to reasons stated above will not be covered. In warranty cases, shipping costs are covered by the seller.
